During this time, swipe functions to the left and right so a shortcut to archive and delete emails.

Now, with the latest updates, we'll have more control over this swipe function. To be able to use it, you need to update Gmail to the latest version 8.5.20.

Quoted detikINET from Android Police , Sunday (10/06/2018) for those who are assigned to this function, they can begin to set it by going to Settings> General Settings.

Then the 'Swipe actions' option will appear to open a new customizable interface. Users can set Swipe Actions either to the left or right, with the function not only archive or delete.

Gmail on your updated Androi device will be able to snooze, move to, mark and other Gmail functions by swiping left and right.

If you can not enjoy it yet, be patient. Google releases its availability incrementally until it's available to all users.
